On September 15, 2015, State Councilor Yang Jiechi held in Beijing the new round of China-France strategic dialogue with Diplomatic Advisor to the French President Jacques Audibert.

Yang Jiechi expressed that President Xi Jinping paid a visit to France last year, during which he and President François Hollande together decided to open up a new era for close and long-lasting China-France comprehensive strategic partnership, charting the course for the future development of bilateral relations. China regards France as a preferential and special strategic cooperative partner and will work with France to keep bilateral relations developing in a healthy, stable and fast manner.

Yang Jiechi pointed out that China and France should earnestly care for each other's core interests and major concerns, tap cooperation potential in aviation, energy, finance, sustainable development and other various fields and boost cooperation under multilateral frameworks such as the UN. China pays attention to France's role as the host country of the UN Conference on Climate Change in Paris and will strengthen communication and coordination with France to jointly ensure a comprehensive, balanced and powerful new agreement from the Conference as scheduled in line with principles of common but differentiated responsibilities, equity and respective capacities.

Jacques Audibert said that President François Hollande attaches great importance to France-China relations and actively devotes himself to deepening bilateral political mutual trust and pushing bilateral practical cooperation. China's "Belt and Road" initiatives offers new opportunities for bilateral cooperation. France hopes to join efforts with China to ensure the success of the Conference.
