Wang Qishan Meets with President of the 72nd Session of the UN General Assembly Miroslav Lajčák

On July 2, 2018, Vice President Wang Qishan met at Zhongnanhai with President of the 72nd Session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly Miroslav Lajčák.

Wang Qishan expressed that global peace, stability and common development is an indispensible external environment for nearly 1.4 billion Chinese people to live a better life and for the Chinese nation to realize modernization. President Xi Jinping's proposal and promotion of building a community with a shared future for mankind and building an open, inclusive, clean and beautiful world that enjoys lasting peace, universal security and common prosperity conform to the common interests of mankind and the trend of the times. China is willing to realize common development with all the other countries under the Belt and Road framework, and will continue to firmly support multilateralism and support the UN to play a core role, so as to contribute China's wisdom and strength to building a global governance system featuring fairness and justice.

Miroslav Lajčák expressed that China is a strong supporter of multilateralism and an indispensable important force for promoting world peace and development. The UN stands ready to continue to deepen all-round cooperation with China.
