|The MFA Holds a Symposium for Chinese Diplomatic Envoys Stationed Abroad to Implement the Spirit of the Central Conference on Work Relating to Foreign Affairs|
On June 24, 2018, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) held a symposium for all Chinese diplomatic envoys stationed abroad to study and implement the spirit of the Central Conference on Work Relating to Foreign Affairs and General Secretary Xi Jinping's key address. State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi attended and addressed the symposium, in which he thoroughly expounded the important significance, scientific connotation and spiritual essence of Xi Jinping’s thought on diplomacy, and called for all Chinese diplomatic envoys stationed abroad to utilize it to arm their minds and guide their practice, as well as work with utmost concentration and focus on the implementation. We should, under the strong leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, constantly break new grounds for the major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics in the new era, and make greater contributions to achieving the two centenary goals and realizing the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Secretary of the CPC Committee of the MFA Zhang Yesui made a work report on strengthening the party-building and cadre management of diplomatic corps and promoting the relevant reform on the institutions and mechanisms concerning foreign affairs.
Principal cadres from relevant departments of central state organs and departments, Ambassadors stationed abroad, Consul Generals at ambassadorial rank, representatives of Chinese missions to international organizations, Commissioners of the MFA in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Macao Special Administrative Region as well as chief leading cadres from the subordinate units within the MFA were presented at the symposium.
