China regards Senegal as an important cooperation partner, and stands ready to uphold the concept of policy towards Africa featuring sincerity, real results, affinity, and good faith and the values of friendship, justice and shared interests. China is willing to make joint efforts with Senegal, and build bilateral relations into a model of friendly relations between China and West African countries, so as to promote China-Senegal comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership for greater development.

Wang Yi expressed that the development of the current China-Africa relations is at a significant moment. President Xi Jinping will travel to South Africa to attend the BRICS Summit and visit African countries next month, which fully demonstrates the high attention President Xi Jinping has paid to China-Africa relations. China and Africa have been intensifying efforts to prepare for the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) to be held this September. The summit will issue new measures of China-Africa all-round cooperation for the next step. China is willing to, together with African members including Senegal, centering on the theme of "win-win cooperation and join hands to build a closer community with a shared future for China and Africa", integrate the Belt and Road Initiative, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the United Nations, the Agenda 2063 of the African Union and the development strategies of various African countries, so as to break new ground and open up new space for China-Africa and China-Senegal cooperation, as well as make the summit another historic event for strengthening China-Africa and China-Senegal solidarity and cooperation.

Sidiki Kaba noted that the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping is exciting, which will bring opportunities for the development of all countries in the world. Senegal is willing to take an active part in it. Senegal is satisfied with the development of bilateral relations. President Macky Sall and the Senegalese government pay high attention to developing Senegal-China relations, firmly adhere to the one-China policy, and hope to further increase political mutual trust, as well as enhance bilateral coordination and cooperation in international affairs. Senegal highly appreciates President Xi Jinping's proposal of the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind, and hopes to learn from China's experience on development and poverty alleviation and comprehensively reinforce cooperation in fields such as trade and investment, infrastructure construction, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, as well as peace and security, in a bid to push Senegal-China cooperation and Africa-China relations for constant and new development. President Macky Sall looks forward to attending the FOCAC Beijing Summit in China. Senegal stands ready to strengthen cooperation under the framework of the forum with China and make greater contributions to promoting the building of the forum.
