Wang Yi: Expect the SCO to Set Sail Again from Qingdao

On May 28, 2018, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that Qingdao is a "sailing city" at the briefing for Chinese and foreign media held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We expect the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to set sail again from here to enter a new era and achieve new development. First, we should reach new consensus on jointly promoting unity to consolidate the foundation of future development for the SCO. Second, we should formulate new measures for jointly building security to contribute the SCO strength to world peace. Third, we should inject new impetus into joint pursuit of development to further translate political consensus of all sides into cooperation achievements. Fourth, we should map out the new blueprint for the joint building of our homeland to lift the overall level of regional economic cooperation.
