Currently, under the leadership of President Xi Jinping, socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era. The Chinese side also firmly believes that under the leadership of President Vladimir Putin, Russia will grow stronger and become more prosperous. Vladimir Putin looked forward to visiting China and meeting with President Xi Jinping again. He said that Russia-China relations have constantly maintained high-level development with political mutual trust being increasingly deepened, and practical cooperation being constantly strengthened. Meanwhile, economic and trade structure has been prominently improved; cooperation in major projects has been advanced with acceleration, and people-to-people and cultural as well as regional exchanges and cooperation have become increasingly active. On May 25 local time, Wang Qishan attended the 22nd St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). The theme of the forum is "Building a Trust Economy". Wang Qishan delivered a speech titled building trust and cooperating for common development, in which he noted that today's world is seeing an overwhelming trend of peaceful development, opening up and cooperation as well as innovation and revolution, with both hope and challenges. He pointed out that no country can tackle those challenges alone, and that putting oneself on a pedestal or seeking to be immune from international risks will lead to nowhere. Governments of all countries should enhance mutual trust and cooperation, seize opportunities in a new round of technological and industrial revolution and cultivate new kinetic energy for world economic growth. All countries should follow the trend of economic globalization, properly handle economic and trade disputes through communication and consultation, and jointly oppose trade protectionism. All countries should uphold multilateralism and maintain a stable international economic order, particularly the authority of the multilateral trade system, and jointly improve global economic governance system.

Various countries in the world are welcome to take part in China's economic development and to share its market opportunities. China is willing to, together with all parties, follow the principles of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits on the "Belt and Road" international cooperation platform, so as to add new impetus to the common development of the world.
