|Yang Jiechi Meets with Secretary of the National Security Council Nikolai Patrushev of Russia|
On May 22, 2018, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee Yang Jiechi met in Beijing with Secretary of the National Security Council Nikolai Patrushev of Russia.
Yang Jiechi expressed that under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Vladimir Putin, China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination has continuously moved forward at a high level and yielded important and new achievements. Under the new situation, both sides will enhance mutual support, expand practical cooperation and intensify coordination and cooperation in international affairs, so as to make greater contributions to boosting respective development of both countries and safeguarding regional and world peace and stability.
Nikolai Patrushev noted that Russia has always remained committed to deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination with China. Russia is willing to work with China to actively implement the consensus of the two heads of state and strengthen cooperation in various areas, in a bid to push bilateral relations for greater development.
