On July 15, 2021 local time, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tileuberdi in Tashkent.

Wang Yi said that with the personal commitment and guidance from the two presidents, the China-Kazakhstan relations are renewed, mutual trust reaches a new level, pragmatic cooperation programs report new achievements, and people-to-people diplomacy takes a new look. Both sides should implement the consensus reached between our presidents, and take the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Kazakhstan diplomatic relations in 2022 as a new starting point to push the bilateral relations to a new high.

Wang Yi said that China will join hands with Kazakhstan and give firm support to each other in major issues concerning their core interests, and perfect the paradigm of the all-round, mutually beneficial cooperation centering on the high-quality development of the Belt and Road, in order to maximize the common interests of the two countries. Both sides should implement the roadmap for the alignment of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the "Bright Path" new economic policy, make sure that the key production capacity cooperation projects are in smooth progress, enhance connectivity, and create new growth points in such fields as AI, digital finance, e-commerce and green energy. Both sides should also intensify exchanges in the culture, sport, education and tourism sectors and between their youth, reinforce the public opinion and social foundations for the bilateral friendship, and resist all forms of external false information. China will continue to provide Kazakhstan with pandemic-control supplies, including vaccines, to help the latter overcome COVID-19. Both sides should ensure the origin tracing research is made in a scientific and precise manner, and oppose making tracing a political issue. China will work with Kazakhstan to implement the achievements of the second "China+Central Asia" foreign ministers' meeting, earnestly support Kazakhstan to host the Meeting of the Council of Heads of Governments (Prime Ministers) of Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2021, and together upgrade the cooperation based on the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia.

Mukhtar Tileuberdi said, his country attaches great importance to the China-Kazakhstan permanent comprehensive strategic partnership. Kazakhstan will further deepen the cooperation with China in all fields, play an active role in the Belt and Road development, and firmly align the development strategies of the two sides. Kazakhstan will work with China to prepare the cooperation planning for the next five years, and strengthen investment and financial cooperation with China. Kazakhstan appreciates China's support for its battle against the pandemic. In the spirit of the comprehensive strategic partnership, Kazakhstan will work more closely with China and firmly support each other in international organizations. The scientific view is of utmost importance in the origin tracing research. Kazakhstan opposes making tracing a political issue.
