Han Zheng Meets with Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean of Singapore

On June 29, 2018, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Vice Premier Han Zheng met at the Great Hall of the People with Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean of Singapore.

Han Zheng expressed that China and Singapore are friendly neighboring countries. Under the care and promotion of the leaders of both countries, the two sides have blazed a cooperation path featuring mutual learning, mutual benefit and win-win results. President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Singapore in 2015, and the two countries established the all-round cooperative partnership progressing with the times. China is willing to, together with Singapore, implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, further consolidate political mutual trust, align development strategies, give full play to the role of mechanisms including the China-Singapore Joint Council for Bilateral Cooperation, deepen major cooperation projects, vigorously promote cooperation under the Belt and Road framework, enhance connectivity, financial cooperation, and trilateral cooperation, and well forge the Southern Transport Corridor, in a bid to promote China-Singapore relations for constant and forward-looking development.

Teo Chee Hean expressed that Singapore attaches high importance to developing its relations with China, and has always supported free trade. Singapore stands ready to continue to enhance cooperation between the two countries under the Belt and Road framework, and push forward bilateral practical cooperation for constant and new outcomes.
