China to Spare No Efforts to Handle Aftermath of Chinese and ROK Child Victims in Traffic Accident in Weihai, Shandong

On May 9, 2017, a serious traffic accident happened in Weihai, Shandong Province which caused the death of 12 people including kids from China and the Republic of Korea (ROK). The Chinese leaders paid great attention to this and made important instructions that related departments and regions should spare no efforts to handle the aftermath. Shandong Province and Weihai city launched the contingency plan immediately, and principal leaders arrived at the accident site, commanded relevant departments to conduct rescue mission and arranged specially-assigned people to appease and arrange for the bereaved families. The Chinese side also maintained communication with the ROK through diplomatic channel on the aftermath of the accident.
