Leaders of Pakistan, Uzbekistan Send Condolences to Chinese Leaders Over Submarine Disaster

On May 3, 2003, hearing the disaster that befell the NO. 361 Submarine of the Chinese Navy, Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf and Uzbek President Islam Karimov sent their condolences to Chinese President Hu Jintao. Pakistani Prime Minister Zafarulla Jamali sent condolences to Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, expressing their deep sorrow at the death of the Chinese Navy sailors and extended their sincere condolences to the families of the victims of the tragedy.

Also on that day, German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer and Japanese Foreign Minister Yoriko Kawaguchi sent messages to Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing to convey their deep condolences for the victims of the disaster.
