The XIII Conference of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement will be held from February 24th to 25th, 2003 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It will be the first Summit meeting of NAM in the new century and is of great guiding importance to the future development of the NAM. As an observer of the NAM, China attaches importance to the role of NAM in the international affairs and has enjoyed long-term sound cooperative relationship with it. Vice Foreign Minister Wang Guangya will head a delegation to attend the summit.
