Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan Is to Attend the Anti-Terrorism Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the UN Security Council

The United Nations Security Council is to hold an anti-terrorism meeting of foreign ministers in New York on January 20. The meeting will comprehensively review international anti-terrorism cooperation since the September 11 terrorist attacks incident and determine the focus for the next step. This is a very important meeting held by the United Nations Security Council at the beginning of the new year. China’s Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan has adjusted the schedule of the visit to the African countries and will make a special trip to New York to attend this meeting. Tang Jiaxuan will address the meeting on China’s stance on the fight against terrorism.

Tang will also hold talks with UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and exchange views on issues of common concern with foreign ministers of countries concerned.
