|Notice on nucleic acid test required for passengers on China-bound flights|
The Civil Aviation Administration of China, the General Administration of Customs of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China made a joint statement on July 20, 2020, stating that all passengers on China-bound flights will be required to take a COVID-19 nucleic acid test within 5 days prior to their departure and only those who test negative will be allowed to board the plane.
Accordingly, the Chinese Embassy in Greece is now working on a specific arrangement on implementation, which will be released in due time.
Currently, passengers who take a direct flight from Greece to China or transfer via countries where such a measure is not required need not to take a nucleic acid test for boarding. Only those who go to China via Bangladesh, Egypt, Pakistan, Russia and Saudi Arabia are required to take a COVID-19 nucleic acid test. For these passengers they are requested to take the following steps.
I. Take a nucleic acid test at one of the Greek clinics designated by Chinese Embassy. The test should be completed within 5 days prior to their departure.
III. Send both the test results and the Health Declaration Form to Chinese Embassy by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
IV. Get the stamped Health Declaration Form by email and present it to airline crew before boarding.
To ensure safety in international travels and reduce the risk of cross-border infection and virus transmission, this measure will be expanded to cover more countries in coming days. We will update the list of countries where new regulations apply on our website in a timely manner.
