[Update] Notice on Airline Boarding Requirements for Certificates of Negative Nucleic Acid and Anti-Body Blood Tests Results
2020-11-30 23:39

In order to reduce cross-border transmission of Covid-19, starting from November 8th, 2020, all Chinese and foreign passengers who are to fly from Greece to China will be required to take nucleic acid and IgM anti-body blood tests within 48 hours prior to their departure and only those who test negative will be allowed to board the plane.

I.Test requirements

Passengers going to China from Greece via direct flights must take nucleic acid and IgM anti-body blood tests in Greece within 48 hours before boarding. They are requested to take the tests at a medical institution designated by Chinese Embassy in Greece and then apply for a QR code with "HS" mark (for Chinese citizens) or "HDC" mark (for non-Chinese citizens) with certificates of negative results of both tests.

Passengers going to China via connecting flights are required to take the tests a second time and apply for the QR code with "HS" mark or "HDC" mark from the Chinese Embassy/Consulates in the transit country.

For passengers flying from other countries to China, please avoid transiting via Athens. Currently, there is only one flight per week from Greece to China, of which the entry point is Beijing. According to regulations of Beijing, only Greek citizens and Chinese who live in Greece can take the direct flight to Beijing.

For passengers flying from Greece to China via other countries, as there is no quick test service in the transit areas in all Greek international airports, to avoid being stranded, and reduce transmission risks during long-haul international traveling, it is suggested to take direct flights after completing the required tests locally. The Embassy of China in Greece in principle will no longer accept application for QR code with "HS" mark or "HDC" mark of those passengers that start their journey in Greece and travel to China via other countries.

II. Procedures for non-Chinese passengers to apply for the QR code with "HDC" mark at Chinese Embassy in Greece

1. Take a nucleic acid test and IgM anti-body blood tests at one of the Greek clinics designated by Chinese Embassy. The tests should be completed within 48 hours (starting from the time of taking samples, instead of the time of report issuance) before boarding. Please provide the clinics with your ID documents and agree to let them send your test reports to Chinese Embassy at hsm67b@gmail.com.

2. Register on the website http://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/ (or scan the QR Code below to redirect to the link), fill in the information and declare the health status.

3. Upload the negative nucleic acid and IgM anti-body blood tests results certificates to http://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/ after getting the test results.

4. Receive the verified Electronic Health Declaration Form by Chinese Embassy in Greece, which will be displayed in QR Code with the "HDC" mark and present it to airline crew before boarding.

III. Important Information

Please read the requirements carefully and follow them accordingly. Any falsification or alteration of the test certificates may cause the application or boarding to be rejected and even bring about legal liabilities on the part of the applicants.

If you must go to China via connecting flights, please check the transit country's entry regulations and its nucleic acid and IgM anti-body blood tests requirements beforehand. Failure to obtain the QR Code with the "HDC" means you will be refused to board the flight to China and will have to change your itinerary.
